Fire Burns Lighthouse Point Buffet Restaurant

Fire ripped through a Lighthouse Point buffet restaurant early Monday causing nearly $150,000 in damage, but fortunately no injuries. Firefighters were called out to the European Buffet at 2462 N. Federal Highway at 4:30 a.m. The restaurant was closed at the time of the fire, which spread to a neighboring business.

City inspectors have closed a South Side chicken restaurant last week after finding more than 200 mice droppings. The Dumpster Taskforce shut down Harold's Chicken, 7158 S.
